The Christmas season at Samaritan is always something special — a time when our buildings seem to hold a little extra warmth, and kindness feels almost tangible in the air. This year was no exception. In the middle of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, our community came together in extraordinary ways to make sure our neighbors felt seen, valued, and cared for.
During the week of our Christmas meal alone, we were able to serve 2,036 meals, provide groceries for 1,662 people, and share 220 Blessing Bags filled with practical items and encouragement. Behind every one of those numbers is a story — a family doing their best to make ends meet, a parent stretching every dollar, a senior neighbor who might otherwise eat alone, a child whose life is lifted by a simple act of care.
But the real beauty of this season wasn’t just in the meals or the groceries — it was in the moments.

It was the smiles shared across a café table.
It was volunteers greeting guests by name.
It was the warmth of a hot meal on a cold day.
It was conversations that reminded all of us that we aren’t meant to walk through life alone.
We watched strangers become friends. We saw tears replaced with laughter. And we felt—over and over again—the deep sense of dignity that comes from being welcomed, not as a number in need, but as a neighbor who matters.
The holidays can be difficult for many families, especially when finances are tight or loved ones are missing from the table. But thanks to the generosity of supporters, volunteers, and community partners, Samaritan was able to offer something priceless: hope wrapped in hospitality.
And that’s what Christmas at Samaritan is really about.
It’s about creating a place where love shows up.Where compassion looks like a plate of food.Where dignity sounds like someone remembering your name.Where faith is lived out through action.
We are deeply grateful for every person who gave, served, prayed, shared, or showed up with a heart ready to help. Because of you, the holidays were brighter for thousands of our neighbors.
And while Christmas comes once a year… the love behind it continues every single week here at Samaritan.
Together, we’re not just serving meals —We are sharing hope.
