Quality Charitable Dental Care in Northwest Arkansas

Samaritan Dental

The Samaritan Dental program provides essential charitable and Medicaid dental care to neighbors in Northwest Arkansas. Since 2014, we’ve transformed thousands of lives, offering over $5,000,000 in free dental services. To ensure we reach those most in need, our program is available for adults whose household income is below 200% of the Federal poverty limit, and participation is based on an application process. Our mission is to provide high-quality care to those who might otherwise go without.

Located in our Rogers Center, Samaritan Dental provides quality dental services from a dedicated team of staff and volunteer dental professionals working in a state-of-the-art dental clinic. This collaborative effort helps us offer life-changing care, ensuring our neighbors receive the vital dental services they deserve.

Samaritan Dental is thankful for the ongoing support of Delta Dental Foundation of Arkansas and the Arkansas Department of Health for helping us make this important program such a success.

Restorative Dental Program

We work alongside community partners to provide essential dental care for neighbors who otherwise may not have access. Every patient begins with an eligibility screening. If they qualify, if openings are available, and if we can meet their needs, they are scheduled for a comprehensive exam and radiographs with one of our licensed dentists. From there, the dentist creates a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique situation.

Restorative appointments—including fillings, extractions, and cleanings—are scheduled over a period of up to 24 months. Patients may complete and “graduate” from the program at any time during this two-year window.

During their time in the program, patients receive education on dental health, preventive care, and the importance of consistent oral hygiene. They are also supported in applying for dental insurance options such as Medicaid or Medicare. In addition, every patient has access to Samaritan Community Center’s wrap-around services, including our Café, Market, and assistance from Community Resource Navigators.

When a patient graduates, we continue to provide guidance and resources as they transition to a long-term dental home in the community, helping them maintain twice-yearly checkups and ongoing oral health.

Evening Dental Clinic – Focused on Acute Pain

Our Evening Dental Clinic provides urgent care for patients experiencing acute dental pain. Appointments are scheduled one month in advance. During their visit, patients are seen by a volunteer dentist who completes an exam and x-ray, followed by immediate treatment when possible.

The goal of the Evening Clinic is to quickly diagnose the source of pain, provide relief, and help patients understand any underlying dental issues. When necessary, the dentist will determine whether a tooth—or multiple teeth—requires removal.
