New Beginnings at the Samaritan Community Center in Springdale

This November, the Samaritan Community Center will open its doors at a brand-new location in Springdale, Arkansas, marking a fresh chapter in our mission to serve those who are struggling with hunger, poverty, and personal hardships. This new facility will be a home for all of our beloved services, including the Samaritan Cafe and Market, where neighbors in need can enjoy hot meals and shop for groceries, as well as our Care Advocates, who are ready to walk alongside clients as they navigate community resources and seek personalized solutions to life's challenges. We are also excited to offer charitable counseling services from licensed therapists, creating a space for healing and hope.

This transition is long overdue. Our previous facility, while filled with heart, was plagued by mold and ongoing plumbing issues that never aligned with the love and dignity we strive to show to every person who walks through our doors. Moving to this new location allows us to provide a better, healthier environment for the families we serve, ensuring that they feel valued and respected from the moment they enter.

One of the most significant advantages of this new space is the financial sustainability it offers. Thanks to the incredible generosity of a local family, who gifted us the building, we are moving from a costly rental arrangement to owning our own facility. In the past, rising rent was an ever-present burden, but now, every dollar that would have gone toward leasing can be redirected into our programs—allowing us to serve better, fresher food and expand our care for those who need it most.

While we are excited for what’s ahead, we still have work to do. The building remodel is ongoing, and we need your help to complete this transformation. Every donation brings us one step closer to opening a space that can truly breathe new life into the hurting and hungry of Springdale.
