If you're planning to purchase a new vehicle, have you considered donating your current car instead of trading it in? Donating a vehicle to Samaritan Community Center can provide valuable transportation to a family in need while potentially offering tax benefits for you.

Reliable transportation is often one of the biggest obstacles families face on their journey toward stability. A dependable vehicle can mean the difference between keeping a job, getting children to school, attending medical appointments, and accessing essential services. For many families, receiving a donated vehicle is truly life-changing.

The process is simple. Samaritan Community Center accepts vehicles with a clear title that are safe and roadworthy. Once donated, we carefully evaluate applications from families in need of transportation. Applicants are screened using established criteria and must have a valid driver's license, as well as the ability to maintain insurance and vehicle registration. Insurance coverage is required before the vehicle is transferred.

Depending on your individual tax situation, donating a vehicle that will be used directly in our charitable program may provide a tax deduction that is greater than the amount you would receive from a trade-in. We encourage donors to consult their tax advisor regarding the specific tax benefits available to them.

Your vehicle donation can create opportunities, restore independence, and help a family take important steps toward

long-term stability.
