Dear Samaritan Shop Donors,

We are temporarily discontinuing pickups of large item donations. Both shops are open for donation drop off, BUT to protect our team members we are unable to unload donations from your vehicle. We are asking donors to, please unload their donations and leave them outside. We encourage bringing a second person to assist with unloading heavy items. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we are following social distancing guidelines as provided by the CDC.

Your Donation + Your Purchase = Food For Our Hungry Neighbors

While many nonprofit organizations put their fundraising efforts into galas, golf tournaments, and/or government grants that require a mountain of paperwork, SCC decided 13 years ago to go a different fundraising route.

Wanting to open another feeding center and food pantry in Springdale led the SCC leadership team and board to wonder how they could afford to pay for it, and someone said “Why don’t we open a thrift store?” And the rest is history! SCC now operates two nonprofit resale stores, called Samaritan Shops, that are open to the public and sell gently used clothing, household items and furniture. Today, 33% of our organizational funding comes directly from store sales.

In addition, the shops also help those in need by redeeming vouchers for free clothes that SCC gives out through our Market food pantries, staff social workers and various other nonprofit area partner agencies. Last year both Samaritan Shops gave away a combined total of over $488,000 in merchandise to Northwest Arkansas neighbors in need.

distributed in free clothing vouchers, household goods and furniture

On August 19, 2010 SCC opened its second Samaritan Shop – a 25,000 square foot Samaritan Shop, and on April 8, 2017 we moved into a brand new location at 2115 West Walnut – a beautiful new store that had hundreds of people show up for opening day.

So if you live in Benton County consider donating your stuff to the Samaritan Shop and remember … the stuff you donate and/or buy at the Samaritan Shop today will help feed the hurting and hungry of NWA tomorrow! In fact, sales from the Rogers Samaritan Shop last year provided over 50,400 FREE meals in the Rogers Cafe, and provided food to more than 5,400 families through our Market food pantry.

Open to the public, donations are gladly accepted and may be dropped off at the hours listed above. If you live in Benton county and have a large donation of working appliances or furniture, please call the Rogers store for pick-up. When picking up furniture, we also pick-up household items, clothing and all gently used and quality donations you may have at the time. To schedule a pickup from the Rogers shop, call 479.246.1060.

Be the first to know about sales and new items in the shop!
