It is finally here. We've talked about it, teased about it, recruited some amazing friends and a few awesome local bloggers to help us out, and now it is time. Samaritan Community Center is excited to share the details of our Donate to Educate Project and how you can jump on board to bring hunger awareness to local elementary schools. Check it out clicking the Donate to Educate button above or by going to www.purecharity.com/scc-books. #maddisfridgenwa.

Annual Sammy Awards Evening Was Real Cool, Man .... Real Cool...
The gym of the old First Baptist Church in Rogers was transformed into a diner recently where over 300 volunteers, staff and friends gathered for a 50's themed party (complete with hamburgers and root beer floats!).
Each year during Volunteer Appreciation Week, SCC hosts a themed celebration party for our volunteers to say Thank You in a big way for their dedication and service. During this time Sammy Awards are handed out to volunteers who gave exceptional service to their program area in the past year. It's a good time to sit back, relax, immerse ourselves in the theme for the evening and fellowship with one another.
Volunteer recipients of a 2015 Sammy Award are: Samaritan Shop - Norma Bissell, Joe Kessler, Dorleen Kessler, Jim Lindberg, Catherine Lindberg, Joann Swain and Lynn Yowell; Samaritan Cafe - Avery Golden, "Papa John" McCullough, Mary Wells, Tom Reed, Lore Hopkins, and Greg Carney; SnackPacks for Kids - Carol Hedrick, Sheryl Brazile, Laura Dye, Dana Watson; Samaritan Market - Ken Myers, Mechelle Sinclair, Chris Gross, and Sherry Setser; Samaritan Dental Clinic - Dr. Trent Mccord, Dr. Mark Baber, Dr. James Arkins, and Dr. Jeff Honderick; Samaritan Garden - Melissa Lockcuff and Jacob Lockuff.
